Santa Paula Police Investigate Fatal Shooting

     Santa Paula police are investigating a fatal shooting.

     It was reported around 3:15 PM Saturday afternoon on Whipple Road which runs between East Telegraph Road south to near the 126 Freeway on the east side of Santa Paula.

     Officers and emergency medical personnel found a man in his 50's suffering from a gunshot wound.

     Interim Santa Paula Police Chief Don Aguilar says despite the life saving efforts by medical personnel at the scene and at a local hospital, the man later died from his injuries.

     Aguilar says no suspects have been arrested and the investigation is continuing.
