Retrial Set In Moorpark Murder Case

     Updated--A new trial has been set for a Moorpark man charged with murder after the jury in the first trial told the court they were hopelessly deadlocked 10 to 2 for conviction and the judge declared a mistrial.   

     Prosecutors allege that on the afternoon of January 3, 2020, Elsworth Cadle fatally shot 64-year-old Mark Milton in a U-Haul truck at the Public Storage facility on Los Angeles Avenue in Moorpark.

     Milton was the husband of Cadle's estranged wife's sister.

     The date for the retrial is now September 3rd.

     Cadle remains in jail with bail set at $3 million.
