Oxnard Shooting Victim Dies

     Updated--Oxnard police say the man who was in grave condition after being shot early Sunday morning has died.

     27-year-old Rodrigo Carranza of Oxnard was found in the 4300 block of Frost Drive shortly after 2 AM Sunday suffering from a single gunshot wound.

     That is a residential neighborhood south of Bard Road between Justin Way and San Juan Avenue.

     He was taken to the trauma center at VCMC in grave condition and hospital officials notified the Oxnard Major Crimes Bureau Monday that he had died from his wound.

     Detectives are now trying to find a suspect and a motive for the killing.
