Ventura Women Arrested For ID/Vehicle Theft

Tuesday July 10, 2018

Deputies in Thousand Oaks say two Ventura women have been arrested for vehicle and identity theft.

It's alleged that on May 27th, 42-year-old Sandra Frescas and 43-year-old Susan Hanks went into the Gold's Gym on North Moorpark Road in Thousand Oaks and took a 56-year-old Thousand Oaks woman's backpack from an unsecured locker.

Deputies accuse Frescas and Hanks of using the victim's car keys in the backpack to steal her car and also run up more than $1,000 on fraudulent credit card purchases at the Camarillo Home Depot.

The victim's vehicle was found abandoned at the Camarillo Outlet Mall.

Detectives say they identified Frescas as one of the two women and they tracked her down at her Ventura home on Washington Avenue and conducted a probation search on June 21st and arrested her.

A man and woman who were in the house were also arrested on drug charges.

Meanwhile, detectives identified Hanks as the second suspect in the Gold's Gym theft and they arrest her in the Ventura County Jail in June where she was locked up because of an Oxnard identity theft case.
