Ventura Police Investigate Cabrillo Village Shooting

Saturday July 27, 2019

Ventura police were investigating a shooting in Cabrillo Village Saturday morning.

They say around 9:24 AM they received a number of 9-1-1 calls about shots being fired from an unknown make sedan in the 1500 block of Saticoy Avenue in Cabrillo Village.

Officers responded and located the owner of a vehicle who reported the suspects had shot at him and hit his vehicle that was parked in front of his residence.

The victim's vehicle was struck by the gunfire but he was not.

Officers located the rear window of a nearby residence that was also struck by gunfire, but no one in the home was injured.

That area was the scene of another shooting earlier this month in which the window of an apartment was pierced by a bullet but no one was hurt.

Ventura police say if you can help with their investigation, please call them at (805) 339-4416 or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at (800) 222-TIPS.
