Suspicious Disappearance Of Young Ventura Man

     Ventura police say they're investigating what they term the suspicious disappearance of a young Ventura man.

    They say that on the morning of December 16th, 22-year-old Jesus Robles-Calzada was last seen leaving his family home in west Ventura.

    Police say he was expected back around noon, but never returned.

    Since then, Robles-Calzada has been considered missing.

    Police say several attempts to reach him on his cell phone went unanswered.

    Family members say Robles-Calzada did not take any clothing or personal property that would indicate he was going somewhere.

    On December 19th, the CHP found his abandoned vehicle near Highway 101 north of Las Vegas Canyon, east of El Capitan State Beach in Santa Barbara County.

    Aerial and ground searches of that area were unsuccessful.

    Police say that Robles-Calzada is 5'7" tall, 140 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes.

    He was last seen wearing a grey striped sweatshirt, blue jeans, and blue and white shoes.

    Ventura police are asking anyone who might have information that could help them determine the young man's whereabouts is asked to call Detective Hibdon at (805) 339-4400.
