Oxnard Man Shot To Death

     Oxnard police are investigating a homicide.

     They say around 12:40 AM Tuesday morning officers responded to a report of a shooting victim in the 1600 block of East First Street.

     Police say they found 28-year-old Diego Espinoza of Oxnard suffering from gunshot wounds.

     Espinoza was taken to VCMC where he died about six hours later.

     The Oxnard Major Crimes Unit is searching for a suspect and a motive for the killing.

       Investigators are encouraging anyone who has any information, or may have heard or seen anything to contact Detective Charles Buttell at (805) 385-7688.

     The City of Oxnard offers a reward of $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any individuals responsible for committing homicides within the City.
