Three people were rescued from the ocean near Ventura Harbor Monday night.
The incident began shortly after 6 PM with a report of a boat in distress near the south entrance to the harbor.
By the time emergency personnel arrived on the scene, the boat had run aground on the beach just south of the southern entrance to the harbor.
There were three people reported on the boat, two adult males and one juvenile male.
At some point, the boat capsized tossing at least two of them into the water.
Emergency personnel were able to rescue all three and get them on the beach.
They were being medically evaluated at last report.
