Mother Nature Making Waves In Ventura County

Friday January 18, 2019

The National Weather Service says we will see high waves Saturday morning that combined with high tides will cause some coastal flooding that has prompted the closure of the Ventura Pier again.

Here is what the NWS is saying...

"Large surf continues across west facing beaches through Saturday morning. The highest surf will continue across the Central Coast where breakers of 12 to 16 feet are expected. For Los Angeles and Ventura counties, west facing beaches will continue to see 8-12 foot breakers. With large high tides of 7.0-7.5 feet expected on Saturday morning, there will be the potential for minor coastal flooding near times of high tide."
