The Ventura County District Attorney's Office says a Long Beach man was arrested in the parking lot of the Barnes and Noble bookstore in Ventura Friday after allegedly arranging through the Internet to meet a child for the purpose of having sex.
That "child" was actually an investigator working with the Ventura County High Tech Task Force involved in finding sexual predators on the Internet.
They say that 39-year-old Fernando Ruiz Llamas of Long Beach was jailed for felony child luring and sending harmful matter to a child.
He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Llamas remains in jail on $100,000 pending another court hearing on May 25th.
