Update--Oxnard police have identified the bicyclist killed Sunday night in a collision with an SUV near the Riverpark-Collection section of town.

It happened around 9:40 PM at the Oxnard Boulevard off-ramp from northbound 101.

Police say the bicyclist, 35-year-old Joey Paquet of North Hollywood, was riding southbound on Oxnard Boulevard in the northbound lanes.

An Oxnard woman driving a 2012 Ford Edge was making a right turn from the northbound 101 off-ramp when she collided with the bicyclist.

The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Police say they do NOT believe that speed, alcohol, or drugs, were a factor in the crash.

However the investigation into what happened is continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact Traffic Investigator Raul Camacho at (805) 200-5668 or via email at raul.camacho@oxnardpd.org

The incident shut down Oxnard Boulevard in that area for several hours Sunday night.
