The Ventura County Sheriff's Department says their narcotics and gang investigators have arrested two Oxnard men on drug and weapons charges following a month-long investigation into the sales of methamphetamine and heroin in the county.
On November 2nd, deputies conducted a traffic stop in Ventura, detaining 42-year-old Fernando Candido of Oxnard while detectives carried out a search warrant at his home in the 300 block of Will Avenue in El Rio.
During the search, they encountered 36-year-old Emmanuel Candido of Oxnard who is currently on parole.
He was detained along with a 31-year-old Oxnard woman.
They also found several small children in the residence along with 11 ounces of methamphetamine and an ounce of heroin and narcotics paraphernalia indicative of drug sales.
Three handguns were also seized.
Meanwhile, Fernando Candido was ultimately arrested on narcotics, weapons and child endangerment charges.
They say Emmanuel Candido was arrested on narcotics and weapons charges and the woman was arrested on a misdemeanor drug warrant and later released.
