The KVTA News team has more than 90 years of journalist experience, with dozens of Golden Mike and AP awards. It provides listeners with scheduled local news, traffic and weather more than 160 times each week, plus whenever major news breaks.  Combined with the world wide resources of ABC News and the Associated Press, it brings you the most comprehensive local, state, national and international news in Ventura County.

News Director Rich Gualano
Rich has more than 33 years as a radio journalist, more than 25 years of that in Ventura County. He has won more than two dozen Golden Mike and AP awards during his career. Rich is a graduate of Cal State Northridge with Bachelors Degrees in Journalism and English.  He reports on news and traffic for the Spence and Bob morning show, does afternoon traffic, and directs the KVTA News staff.
