Ventura police are investigating a stabbing that sent one person to the hospital late Saturday night.
Around 11:45 PM Saturday, Ventura police received a call from Community Memorial Hospital reporting that a stabbing victim had come into the ER for treatment.
Due to his injuries, he was later transported to VCMC.
Officers responded and contacted the 26-year-old male victim who was suffering from non-life threatening injuries to his mid torso.
He told them he was in the 100 block of East Center Street in west Ventura when several subjects attacked him and he was stabbed.
The suspects then fled on foot.
Officers responded to the location and while they did not find the suspects, they did find the crime scene.
The suspects were described only as Hispanic males between 18-24 years old.
Police say this is still an active investigation and they are asking anyone with information that might help to call VPD at (805) 339-4416.
