A Fillmore man is facing 300 years-to-life in prison after a Ventura County jury found him guilty of a host of child molestation and child sexual abuse charges involving four little girls over a decade.
The jury found 67-year-old Henry Mata guilty on 15 counts and they found true 26 special allegations.
The victims, all girls, ranged in age from 6 to 12 with most of the molestations happening between 2004 and 2014.
The case against Mata began when one of the victims came forward in 2016 and recounted that he committed numerous lewd acts against her in his Fillmore home when she was eight years old.
Charges were filed and Mata was arrested and then other victims started to come forward to say they had also been molested and sexually abused.
Prosecutors say there were also uncharged crimes that went back to the 1980's.
All the victims were related to Mata.
Mata remains in the Ventura County Jail pending sentencing on May 15th and he faces 300 years to life in prison.
