The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office says they've arrested a Ventura County man in connection with a stabbing in Goleta Monday night.

They say around 8:43 PM Monday deputies responded to Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital to investigate a report of a victim who had been stabbed.

It happened at a transient encampment near the dead end of Ward Drive.

Deputies investigated and ultimately arrested 58-year-old Glenn Allen Ray of Camarillo Tuesday.

He was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail for attempted murder and driving on a suspended license.

Ray's bail was set at $1 million.

As of Wednesday, the victim was still in the hospital.
