What appears to be a two-man armed robbery team struck twice in less than three hours late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning at gas station convenience stores in western Ventura County.
The first hold-up was shortly after 10 PM Tuesday night at the Chevron Station in the 7700 block of Telegraph Road in east Ventura.
Police say that two masked men, one armed with a gun and the other with a machete, entered the convenience store and approached the clerk.
They demanded money and the clerk complied and the suspects fled with the cash and police did not find them.
Then, shortly before 1 AM Wednesday, the Sinclair Gas Station in the 100 block of South 10th Street in Santa Paula was struck by two masked robbers, one armed with a gun and the other with a machete.
The gunman grabbed cash while the suspect with the machete destroyed a display.
They fled before police arrived.
No injuries reported.
